Fan Sneaks onto Court During Pelicans' Pregame Shootaround

A fan briefly thwarted Smoothie King Center security to warm up with the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Instagram user Mario Smith identified the interloper as comedian Tony Roberts. Nobody initially appeared to notice he didn't belong with the team as he stretched with a hood over his head.

Someone even passed him the ball. Security escorted Roberts off the court following a shot attempt clearly not befitting an NBA player.

In their first game since DeMarcus Cousins ruptured his Achilles, the Pelicans suffered a 112-103 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Although they will need some help to preserve a postseason spot, they're not holding open tryouts to ticket-holders just yet.
