Genie Bouchard Will Go to Super Bowl LII with Date from Last Year's Twitter Bet

Genie Bouchard has agreed to attend Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4 with John Goehrke, who landed a date with the tennis star by winning a Twitter bet during last year's championship.

When the Atlanta Falcons jumped to a sizable Super Bowl LI lead, Bouchard tweeted that she "knew Atlanta would win." Goehrke wagered a date that the New England Patriots could make the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, which they did.                       

Bouchard held up her end of the bargain and went to a Brooklyn Nets game with Goehrke last February. It must have went well enough, as she posted a photo of them together in December.

NFL Canada invited them to this year's game in Minneapolis to celebrate an unusual anniversary. They both accepted.

Last week, the top-seeded Simona Halep eliminated Bouchard in the second round of the 2018 Australian Open.
