Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on N'Golo Kante and Andy Carroll
Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante is reportedly wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, while the Blues are said to have been in touch with West Ham United with regards to a move for striker Andy Carroll.
Kante is wanted by the Ligue 1 leaders but is "not a priority summer transfer target," per Jonathan Johnson at ESPN FC.
PSG are after a replacement for the 35-year-old Thiago Motta, and Kante is of interest, as are Monaco midfielder Fabinho and Benfica's Danilo Pereira.

However, there are doubts about Kante as PSG "want a more technical figure and one capable of creating from deep," but that stance could change should Emery depart the club.
Emery could leave PSG if he fails to guide the team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, per Julian Laurens at ESPN FC. The club have been drawn to face holders Real Madrid in the last 16.
Kante has become a hugely important player for Chelsea since joining the club from Leicester City in 2016 and played a key role in last season's Premier League title success. He was also named the PFA Player of the Year, which is voted for by fellow professionals.
WhoScored.com show just how effective he was last season:
Kante is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders around and so it's little surprise to hear of interest from PSG. However, signing him from Chelsea looks to be both difficult and incredibly expensive, which is perhaps why he's not viewed as a priority for now.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are in touch with West Ham over a possible January move for Carroll, but David Moyes' side "will not sell him for less than his valuation," per Kaveh Solhekol at Sky Sports.
West Ham would also be interested in including Michy Batshuayi in the deal, but Sevilla are "growing increasingly confident of signing" the Belgium international.
Should Batshuyai leave, Chelsea will be in need of a replacement in attack, although Carroll is an odd choice, per freelance football writer Adam Hurrey:
The 29-year-old has scored just two goals for West Ham this season, and although he may be content with a bench role at Chelsea, there are doubts over whether he has the quality needed by the reigning Premier League champions.
