LeBron James After Seeing He Stepped Out of Bounds: 'Needed to Be in OKC'
After watching a replay of Friday night's finish between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers, LeBron James acknowledged he stepped out of bounds before attempting a potential game-winning shot with his squad down one point and seconds remaining.
The superstar credited officials for making the right call, which helped seal Indiana's 97-95 upset at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
In the process, James poked fun at a similar play that was ruled differently Dec. 29. Before slamming a game-winning dunk to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder, Giannis Antetokounmpo's foot touched the sideline. The NBA's last-two-minute report labeled the sequence an "incorrect non-call."
The Cavaliers have fallen seven games behind the Boston Celtics after losing eight of their last 11 games, nine of which they played on the road.
Perhaps James and Co. will receive some officiating breaks when they return to Quicken Loans Arena on Monday to face the Golden State Warriors.
