What to make of the 2009 New York Giants?

It is now week 6, the Giants just got abused by the New Orleans Saints, if you would have asked me what I made of the Giants 3 weeks ago, I would have said this is the BEST team we’ve had since 1990. A bold statement I know, but the way that they dominated, it really seemed like that’s the direction they were heading. 3 weeks ago the Giants still had their starting Safety, a Safety that I whole heatedly believe is a budding super star, Kenny Phillips. Some guys just have it, what ever it is Kenny Phillips has it, and him going down for the year could seriously screw up, what could have been a flawless road to a 2nd Lombardi trophy in just 3 years. Another bold statement, some “Giant Fans” may even say who is Kenny Phillips, how could someone I've never even heard of screw up a season for a good team?

The NFL has transformed into a pass first run second league, and when you play a QB like Drew Breese, they’re going to expose your obvious weaknesses, which CC Brown is.

I know, until week 6, “they haven’t played anyone”, that phrase makes me so mad. They can only play who’s on their schedule, and while the early schedule was easy, they handled their business the exact way a good team would, they dominated obviously inferior teams. Week 6 was a different story, but at least 3 touchdowns were a result of one players screw ups, that one player C.C. Brown.

Yup, you guessed it, the guy that replaced, Kenny Phillips. If it wasn’t miss judging the ball in the air, it was biting a play-action so bad that the Saints receivers looked like they had a highly contagious terminal illness.

Next week we have the Arizona Cardinals, right now, the Card’s coaching staff is in the film room finding more ways to expose the Giants deep middle. If C.C. remains a starting safety, along with Aaron Ross missing more time, the Giants pass defense is in BIG trouble.

Despite the facts above, I like the G-Men this week minus the 7 at home. I really believe the Giants rushing attack will be very effective against the weak run defense of the Arizona Cardinals.
