Damian Lillard Takes Exception to Chris Paul Layup Late in Rockets Win
Zac WassinkJan 10, 2018
Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul acted rather unneighborly late in Wednesday's 121-112 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Toyota Center, and he caught heat from Portland's Damian Lillard for his actions.
With under 16 seconds remaining in the contest, Paul scored an uncontested layup rather than dribbling the clock out and settling for a 119-112 victory.
A final steal allowed Paul to hold on to the basketball until time expired, but Lillard made it clear he didn't appreciate the unnecessary bucket.
