Kyrie Irving Funds Basketball Facility Renovations for High School Alma Mater
Andrew GouldJan 6, 2018
Kyrie Irving financed renovations for his high school alma mater's basketball facilities.
Per Zagsblogs's Adam Zagoria, the Boston Celtics star paid for a redone gym, locker room and weight room for the Patrick School in Hillside, New Jersey. Zagoria shared students' reactions to the facility's upgrades.
Courtesy of NJ Advance Media's Jeremy Schneider, Irving also gave the players shirts and his signature Nike sneakers.
Irving wasn't recruiting new members; the high school also uses the Celtics nickname.
Irving's former science teachers may have a bone to pick with him, but the basketball squad is well-equipped to honor the four-time All-Star's legacy.
