LaMelo, LiAngelo Ball Lithuanian League Jerseys Selling for $99
LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball's Vytautas Prienai uniforms are selling for $99 on Amazon, according to Andrew Joseph of FTW.
For comparison, Nike's NBA jerseys retail for anywhere between $65 and $130 dollars at the online NBA Store.
The younger brothers of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball arrived in Lithuania on Wednesday, per Jeff Goodman of ESPN, and will begin practicing with the team on Friday. They will make their debuts for the team in a Jan. 9 home game against Baltic League opponent Tsmoki-Minsk.
"They just want to find a spot to shoot and workout tomorrow," their father, LaVar Ball, told Goodman Wednesday.
In an effort to get the young players more playing time, Prienu Vytautas has also been exploring the possibility of setting up a tournament in late January with various EuroLeague teams.
"We're talking to teams like Zalgiris and CSKA Moscow about playing in it," the team's general manager, Adomas Kubilius, told Goodman. "It would be an opportunity for them to play more games, and play against players of similar age."
Certainly, there will be more adjustments than just the ones the Ball brothers will face on the court.
"It's surely no California and it's cold, but I think we will like it here," LaMelo Ball told reporters on Wednesday, per the Associated Press.
LaMelo, 16, was pulled out of Chino Hills High School in California to be home-schooled and ultimately to play overseas. LiAngelo, 19, was enrolled in UCLA but was allegedly caught shoplifting during a team trip to China and was suspended by the program indefinitely. Instead, he un-enrolled and will be plying his trade in Lithuania.
LaMelo and Lonzo Ball already have signature shoes with their father's apparel company, Big Baller Brand, with LiAngelo's shoe reportedly on the way. Now, Lonzo's Lakers jersey won't be the only one for sale in the family.
