Lonzo Ball Appears to Crop Kentavious Caldwell-Pope from Photo

Andrew GouldJan 2, 2018

Aching to return from a shoulder injury that has sidelined him for the last five games, Lonzo Ball said he misses his "dawgs" in an Instagram post containing a photo of him and three Los Angeles Lakers teammates.

Perhaps he doesn't miss all of them, though.

Here is what he shared on Instagram:

BOSTON, MA - NOVEMBER 08: (L-R) Brandon Ingram #14, Lonzo Ball #2, Brook Lopez #11, Kyle Kuzma #0, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope #1 of the Los Angeles Lakers walk to the bench during a time out in the first quarter against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden

Whether intentional or not, the rookie point guard cropped out Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who violated his parole last month by driving under the influence in March. After pleading guilty, he is serving a 25-day jail sentence that allows him to leave for Lakers games and practices in California.

This could simply be a case of overanalyzing every move the highly spotlighted newcomer makes, however. Perhaps he was just an accidental victim of Instagram's square photo ratio.
