"I have a contract this year and another one, until 2018," he said. “I am calm, happy, and focused on this part of the season in which we play a lot. "My goal is to make strong finish to the season, and to be able to enter Europe and help the team as much as I can. Let's go step by step. "If there is something to announce, it will be announced. It has been a nice season for me and I'm happy where I am. Although, I'm aware that keeping me is very difficult."
Robbie Dunne at AS expects Madrid to pay Arrizabalaga's €20 million release clause:
The goalkeeper is currently sidelined with a foot injury that is expected to keep him out for a number of weeks, according to Javier R. Beltran at AS.
However, that is not expected to jeopardise his chances of moving to Real Madrid as they seek to strengthen their defence.
Current first-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas has been in decent form this season and was recently named CONCACAF's Player of the Year.
However, the Costa Rican can be error-prone at times and there is a feeling that Madrid are lacking a truly elite goalkeeper.
