The Carolina Panthers struggled and made mistakes in the Week 16 meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they beat their NFC South rival 22-19 to clinch a playoff spot.
After the game, head coach Ron Rivera spoke to his players, focusing on the importance of team before wrapping up with a verbal salute to Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, who is planning to sell the franchise after workplace misconduct allegations, including sexual harassment and use of a racial slur, surfaced in a Sports Illustrated report.
