Seahawks' Earl Thomas Has Interesting Request for Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett

Steve SilvermanJun 8, 2018

Earl Thomas is the talkative type after a game.

The Seattle safety was caught on camera walking to the locker room at AT&T Stadium, and on his way there, he caught up with Dallas head coach Jason Garrett.

Thomas and the Seahawks had just finished off a 21-12 victory over the Cowboys that eliminated Garrett's team from playoff contention, while Seattle still has a chance to play in the postseason.

However, Thomas made an unusual request of the opposing coach. He asked Garrett to "come get me" if he has the chance.

The remarks were captured by NFL Network reporter Jane Slater and tweeted out in the video above.

Thomas explained in the locker room that the comments were made in case the Seahawks "kick [him] to the curb," per Gregg Bell of the News Tribune.

If a coach had made that request of an opposing player, it would almost certainly be considered tampering.

Even with Thomas' explanation, it's quite likely this topic will be under discussion for quite a while.
