UFC Champ Keeps Childhood Promise, Surprises Mother with New House for Christmas

When Tyron Woodley was a child, he made his mother a promise: One day, he would become a successful athlete, and when he did, he would buy her a house. 25 years later, as UFC welterweight champion, he kept that promise.

It was a special moment in both of their lives, and it was captured on social media. Check it out above.

Sports are fun to watch, but it's important to remember that for the competitors, it's a brief window to give longstanding financial security to their families. Hopefully, the sports world had plenty more Christmas gifts like this.
