AEG Sold $824,000 Worth of Merchandise on Kobe Bryant Jersey Retirement Day

The Los Angeles Lakers retired Kobe Bryant's No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys during a halftime ceremony at Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center. 

AEG, the owner of that arena, cashed in on the occasion. 

Per ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, AEG sold a reported $824,000 worth of merchandise, such as customized jerseys and hats, at four different venues Monday. Staples Center had $616,000 in sales.
