Rookie Kyle Kuzma Scores 38 Points; Lakers End Rockets' 14-Game Winning Streak

Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Kyle Kuzma scored a career-high 38 points in Wednesday's 122-116 victory over the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center, ending Houston's impressive 14-game winning streak. 

Kuzma found fire right out of the gates, hitting his first six shots from the field and his initial four attempts beyond the three-point arc to finish the opening period with 16 points. 

The 22-year-old made 7-of-10 threes and shot 12-of-17 from the field, and he also tallied seven rebounds and four assists in the win.
