Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses suffered a broken foot during the team's practice Monday and will require surgery, according to Charlie Potter of 247Sports.

Head coach Nick Saban later issued a statement, saying Moses injured his foot and is "out indefinitely," via Charlie Potter of 247Sports. The statement did not mention any possible surgery.

Moses, a freshman, accumulated 30 tackles (5.5 tackles for loss), 1.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble in 11 games (two starts). He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team, joining teammate Henry Ruggs III in that distinction this season.

Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis, who played sparingly in the Iron Bowl against Auburn and have been practicing with the team, will mitigate the loss of Moses. Both players were originally believed to be out for the season after suffering biceps and elbow injuries, respectively, against Florida State.

Mack Wilson, who underwent foot surgery in early November, has also been practicing and played against Auburn, leaving the Crimson Tide with options in the wake of Moses' injury.

"They all made a contribution, and I didn't see any glaring errors," Saban said of the aforementioned trio following the Iron Bowl, per Christopher Walsh of SEC Country. "I think everybody out there probably made a few mistakes, but I think it was very helpful that we had those guys back, and we were glad to have them back."

Having that trio back is key, as Shaun Dion Hamilton is also out for the Sugar Bowl with a fractured knee cap. That will leave Wilson and Rashaan Evans as the likely starters on the interior, while Miller and Lewis should provide a pass-rushing boost on the outside.
