The Los Angeles Lakers will retire his No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys Monday night to commemorate Kobe Bryant. Before the ceremony, numerous sports stars lined up to pay their respects.

Key figures from his championship squads sent their well wishes on Twitter.

Former competitors and rising stars who grew up watching Bryant also posted kind words.
