Carmelo Anthony Welcomed Back by Knicks with Video Tribute, Standing Ovation
Ryan McCrystalDec 16, 2017
After an offseason trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Carmelo Anthony made his return to Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.
It wasn't always a smooth ride during Anthony's six-and-a-half seasons with the New York Knicks, but the organization welcomed him back with a video tribute. The fans also showed their appreciation with a standing ovation.
The 10-time All-Star is one of just seven players to score over 10,000 points in a Knicks uniform, but he was dealt to OKC in September for Doug McDermott, Enes Kanter and a second-round pick after years of trade rumors.
