LeBron James Says His Conversation with Lonzo Ball Should Have Remained Private

Ryan McCrystalDec 16, 2017

Speaking to reporters Saturday, LeBron James said he believes some things on the court—such as his conversation with Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball—should remain private.

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers' 121-112 win over the Lakers at Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday night, LeBron talked with Ball, covering his mouth so no one could read his lips.

Unfortunately for the Cavs star, a mic on the court picked up most of what he said, which included telling Ball to stay "locked in."

Given the steps he took to keep the conversation confidential, it's no surprise LeBron said "there should be some type of privacy" and showed his annoyance when discussing the incident.

However, any pro athlete should be aware that their actions on the court are far from private.
