Odell Beckham Jr. Almost Spoiled Surprise Party for Sterling Shepard's Fiancee

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard proposed to his girlfriend, model Chanel Iman, on her 27th birthday. He celebrated both events by throwing a surprise party.

Speaking with ThePostGame's Jeff Eisenband, the newly engaged couple said Odell Beckham Jr. nearly tipped Iman off to the birthday bash.

"I was in the Bahamas before, and [Beckham] took the phone from Sterling while we were on FaceTime and he said, 'We'll see you on Friday for your birthday,'" Iman recalled. "But I had no idea it was a surprise birthday, so he really didn't ruin anything."

She said she "just didn't hear anything" regarding the potential hint.

"We'll see you on Friday" doesn't necessarily mean "Shepard is throwing a surprise party." And not even Sherlock Holmes could have deduced a marriage proposal from Beckham's innocent comment.
