Nas Responds to Lonzo Ball with Congratulatory Knicks Post on Instagram
When Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball walked into Madison Square Garden on Tuesday with his face superimposed on Nas' album It Was Written, many saw the wardrobe choice as disrespect:
Ball put on a show in the bright lights, logging 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but the Lakers fell 113-109 to the New York Knicks in overtime. It's unusual for Nas to do this, but he took to Instagram to congratulate the Knicks on the victory:
Add another chapter to the Nas vs. Ball saga. It started when the Lakers rookie said, "Y'all outdated, man. Don't nobody listen to Nas no more," in the Facebook series Ball in the Family (h/t Rolling Stone):
A New York native, Nas takes the first win against Ball as the Knicks prevailed in a thrilling showcase between two storied franchises.
