Stephen Curry Wants to 'Shock' the Shoe Game with Signature Sneaker Line

Zac WassinkJun 8, 2018

As B/R's Giancarlo Ferrari-King explained in October, Stephen Curry's Curry 4 sneakers may be remembered as the most important shoe in his signature line.

The Golden State Warriors star, two-time champion and two-time NBA MVP is clearly thinking big picture as it pertains to his relationship with Under Armour.

Curry recently spoke with Sports Illustrated's Jarrel Harris about earning respect in the sneaker game and about the "shocking" legacy he hopes his line will leave even after he retires as an active player:

"That I shocked the shoe game. For one, I think the business that we created with the SC brand and Under Armour—and it is almost unprecedented—from starting with nothing and growing it to what it is now and hopefully what it becomes in the next five to 10 years. I take a lot of pride in what I do on the court and the opportunities that come out of that, especially with people wearing my name on their feet and their body with all of the product that we make. I took a chance with UA and UA did the same and we created something special and hopefully it lives long beyond my playing career."

Whether the SC brand will become his generation's Jumpman has yet to be seen.
