South Africa are touring England in July, but will the England bowlers be good enough to bowl SA out?

Will James Anderson and Sidebottom be able to get SA top order batsmen out? They have a nicely set pair of Greame Smith, who has a very good record in England and Niel McKenzie, the newer partner to the South African top order. It will be a good battle in July!

Maybe England need more pace bowlers. There is not one  bowlers playing in the NZ test series that can constantly bowl at 85 to 90 miles an hour. There are some bowlers knocking on the door that can bowl at that speed, like Steven Harmison and Simon Jones.

The South Africans have the bowlers that can bowl between 85 and 90 mile an hour consistently. Dale Steyn and Albie Morkel can comfortably bowl at that pace.

The test for the South African batsmen will be the wickets they play on. They are used to very fast wickets at home and the England wickets are slower than they are accustomed to.

That will be a test for the bowlers, too. To bowl on wickets that are fast and bouncy is different to bowling on wickets that are slower, with less bounce in them. They must bowl different lines and lengths then they are used to.

Dale Steyn, the best bowler in the South African attack, has a bit of experience playing cricket in England. Will SA pick Andre Nel who has played for Essex a few times in the English summer? He is more used to bowl on the England wickets.

Both the teams have left arm spinners. They will play a very big role in the test matches.

Monty Panesar is doing very well at the moment, picking up 6 wickets in the second test against NZ. SA spinner Paul Harris had also done well in his last few test matches. They will be very interesting to watch.
