49ers OG Brandon Fusco Calls Jimmy Garoppolo 'A Special Player' After Team Debut
Jimmy Garoppolo's first start with the San Francisco 49ers yielded their second win of the season. Offensive guard Brandon Fusco liked what he saw from their new quarterback.
Although he did not take San Francisco's offense into the end zone against the Chicago Bears, Garoppolo completed 26 of 37 passes for 293 yards. Down two late in the fourth quarter, he took his new squad 86 yards downfield to set up a game-winning Robbie Gould field goal to cement a 15-14 triumph.
After the game, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, Fusco raved about the 49ers' midseason acquisition.
