A Mulligan At Talladega? Jimmie and Chad Could Have "ONE"

After a dominating performance at the track that used to be known as "Jimmie's House". The race to the Chase has given Nascar fan's something they DID NOT want.

The #48 Lowe's Chevy Impala with Jimmie Johnson behind the wheel and Chad Knaus calling the shots, has opened up a lead on the other Chase competitors that let's JJ and Chad breathe a little easier.

In fact,  if their Performance and Luck continue next week at Martinsville, they will go to the most feared track in the Chase (Talladega Superspeedway) with a MULLIGAN in their pocket.  

Every Driver, Crew Chief and Car Owner knows that Talladega can MAKE or BREAK their chance to stay close to the 3 Time Reigning  Sprint Cup Champion.

All you have to do is go back to the very first race at the then known Alabama International Motor Speedway, a track sitting off of Interstate 20 east of Birmingham that has a HISTORY of Surprises.

Back in 1969, this track was SO fast, the tires that Goodyear and Firestone brought were blowing out from the 200 MPH speeds that were being reached.

This year, the feared track known for "The Big One" has a promotion going on called Hal-O-Dega, with the race falling on Halloween weekend.

Just imagine the relief and confidence the #48 car can have if they get through the Martinsville weekend unscathed.

It's too soon to give them the CUP, but what a feeling it would be going into Alabama Superspeedway with a MULLIGAN in their pocket!
