Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette tweeted an apology for missing team activities, which led to his suspension for last Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fournette, 22, was suspended for a violation of team rules that included missing a team picture day Oct. 24. Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reported Fournette was in Louisiana the day of the photo.

"Leonard Fournette is not playing in today's game due to an infraction of a team rule," Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said in a statement. "This has been addressed internally and further details will not be made public."

Fournette has rushed for 596 yards and six touchdowns through his first six NFL games. He's sixth in the NFL in rushing despite missing two games, one because of injury and one for the suspension.

Marrone said Fournette will be back in the lineup this week against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Jaguars currently sit 5-3 and tied for first place in the AFC South.
