Astros SS Carlos Correa Proposes to Girlfriend After Winning World Series

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa will receive his championship ring ahead of the next MLB season after his club defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2017 World Series.

The 23-year-old was concerned about a different type of ring Wednesday night.

Following Houston's 5-1 victory at Dodger Stadium, Correa spoke with Fox's Ken Rosenthal during what appeared to be a standard interview segment. Then, out of nowhere, the one-time champion fell to his knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Miss Texas USA Daniella Rodriguez.

The two embraced and kissed, and he then placed the engagement ring on the finger of his new fiancee.

It's a safe bet Correa won't forget this night for multiple reasons.
