Notre Dame Latest Loss, One More Tragic Ending

One more game goes to the scum of California. I beleive the most painful part to bear was having to listen to the paid haters(sport casters) who whined about the calls against USC. I guess late hits are the price you have to pay to be allowed to play on the same field with USC.

I will get the bad part over with as soon as possible. I cannot understand why the Notre Dame defense is so inconsistent. Occasionlly they play great football, and at others they forget how to tackle or cover receivers. I thought this year we would stop teams on 3rd and long. I thought that the secondary was among the best in the country. I thought Coach's Tenuta and Brown would make a difference by now. I see now that I thougt, and was told things that were wrong.

Now for some better news, Notre Dame can score and run the football consistently again. It took some time for the offense to get in a good rthym, but it did happen. Jimmy Claussen did not play fantastic, but he did play better than anyone else did against the Trojans. Now we we see what a coaching staff we have. If, Notre Dame runs the table then we have the makings for great things next year. If not, well I do not see what can be done unless we just get better on the offensive line. The defense needs the most improvement, but I do see hope on that side of the ball as well.

I have heard the arguements that Jimmy Claussen might bolt for the NFL after this season. I do not think that is the case. Unless he just plays lights out and wins the Heisman I do believe that Notre Dame is still improving this year and will contend for the National title. This offensive line should actually improve next year. The defense hopefull will play well with better consistency. As I mentioned before, unless the Irish go into some mental wasteland I think they can run the table. A BCS bowl game is not important as running the table would be to this team at this time. Running the table will show everyone that Notre Dame is on the rise.
