Oklahoma State Avoids Upset vs. Texas with End-Zone Interception in Overtime
Andrew GouldOct 21, 2017
Texas had the No. 10 Oklahoma State Cowboys on the ropes in Saturday's Big 12 showdown at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Down three with a chance to tie or take the lead in overtime, the Longhorns had their upset hopes end with an errant pass.
On 3rd-and-4 inside the OK State 10-yard line, freshman quarterback Sam Ehlinger rolled outside the pocket before lobbing a pass into the end zone. Nobody but Cowboys safety Ramon Richards was in sight.
Although the game was closer than they would have liked, the Cowboys improved to 6-1 with a 13-10 win. They entered the day averaging 48.8 points per game (second in the nation).
