WWE Rumors Roundup for Week of Oct. 12 Ahead of TLC
The future of one major WWE star inevitably dominates the latest batch of rumors circulating online.
Is Neville gone from WWE? Does he still have a future in the company? This week's rumor roundup goes a long way to trying to find a definitive answer to that situation.
The Englishman has been one of the big positives in WWE's cruiserweight division, so without him, the company would have to go in a different direction.
But that isn't the only talking point in WWE.
With The Shield back together, there's news on how long their reunion may last, as well as news from SmackDown Live's tag team division.
Who Will Breezango's Next Opponents Be?
1 of 3It seems WWE isn't entirely sure on the answer to that question just yet.
Arguably one of the more entertaining parts of SmackDown Live, and the one team beyond The New Day and The Usos that holds any sort of appeal with fans, Breezango's immediate future appears unclear.
At Hell in a Cell, what was expected to be the pay-off from the Fashion Files saw a cryptic clue referring to "2B" aired.
On a night when it seemed probable their attackers would be revealed, it instead appears the comedy segments are simply going to roll on for a while yet.
With Luke Harper and Erick Rowan's vignette referring to themselves as the Bludgeon Brothers, perhaps "2B" is a subtle hint as to their future.
But Randall Ortman at Cageside Seats reported on Thursday that there are no plans to set up any angles for Breezango in the ring just yet.
When Will The Shield Break Up Again?
2 of 3WWE fans were treated to what was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year on Monday night. Following several years apart, The Shield officially got back together on Raw.
Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are finally back on the same page, with The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman their opponents at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on Oct. 22.
But no sooner has the band got back together than reports have emerged relating to when the trio will split once again.
And per Ortman at Cageside Seats, fans won't have too long to get used to seeing The Shield cause utter carnage on Raw again.
Ortman reported that the reunion isn't expected to last into 2018, meaning there may only be two or three months of The Shield 2.0 before another split.
That will be sad news for some, but it's obvious the three Superstars have different paths to head on. For now, fans should just enjoy the reunion and the entertainment that will follow.
Has Neville Left WWE?
3 of 3The undisputed biggest WWE story of the week concerns the star of the cruiserweight division, Neville.
After Monday's episode of Raw, speculation concerning the Englishman's future emerged.
On Monday's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline), Dave Meltzer revealed that Kalisto's match against Enzo Amore wasn't originally planned, with plans changing after an initial non-title match between Amore vs. Neville was scrapped.
Currier then wrote that WWE sources confirmed Neville had spectacularly walked out on the company before Raw and "appeared to have quit the promotion," though it was reported WWE had officially denied the former cruiserweight champion had quit.
There was no Neville on the latest episode of 205 Live, and it leaves the future of one of 2017's biggest success stories in some doubt.
Neville has been a revelation since turning heel in December 2016. He fits the self-adopted moniker of King of the Cruiserweights to perfection. Without him, the complexion of the division could be about to get a whole lot different.
