New York Subway Ad Campaign Asks Fans to 'Pick a Side' on Knicks

New York City's subway system might be the only thing causing more frustration in the Big Apple than the Knicks. The dysfunctional entities recently merged in an FS1 ad campaign that prompted riders to choose between optimism and nihilism. 

Jared Mintz of FanRag Sports posted the above photo of a train with Joakim Noah and Tim Hardaway Jr. adorning the "hopeless" side.

Twitter user Mike Gilliga replied with interior shots of the seats inscribed with messages from the campaign such as, "Nothing will change until [James] Dolan sells the team."

The negativity, however, is only one side of the story. The Knicks Wall's Mike Cortez (h/t Cycle's Thomas Duffy) appears to have captured the positive portion of the ad campaign, which is unsurprisingly focused on Kristaps Porzingis:

Hardaway, who signed a four-year, $71 million deal to rejoin the Knicks, is notably featured on both ends. While the 25-year-old guard averaged a career-high 14.5 points per game last season, he's a limited defender with a career 42.7 field-goal percentage.

The positive side might present a rare opportunity for New Yorkers to find vacated subway seats.
