Back in July, Cork Gaines and Diana Yukari of Business Insider reported that Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki has rejected roughly $194 million in potential earnings by repeatedly signing franchise-friendly contracts with the Mavs.

One fan recently decided to give a little back to the veteran.

On Friday afternoon, Nowitzki tweeted a picture of a $20 bill and a letter penned by a fan.

"You been taking discounts the past 6 years to help the team bring talent and a title," the person wrote.

"LUNCH IS ON ME BIG FELLA!"

If Nowitzki is smart with his newfound windfall, he could even stretch that to two lunches.
