WWE 2K18: Review of DLC Season Pass and Expanded Creation Suite

WWE 2K18 has an expansive roster that should hold gamers' interest for a long time to come, but there are some exciting ways to add even more Superstars to the mix over the coming months.

There are five downloadable content packs for WWE 2K18, including additional Superstars and moves that add more depth to a game that is already brimming with it.

Also, the always popular Creation Suite received some boosts this year in terms of more options for creating Superstars, matches and more.

With WWE 2K18 getting released worldwide Tuesday, here is a review of the DLC season pass, as well as some new features to utilize in the Creation Suite.

DLC Season Pass

While all five DLC packs can be purchased separately, those who buy the season pass for WWE 2K18 will get all of the packs as they are released at a discounted price.

According to WWE.com, it starts with the Accelerator, which can be used to unlock all Superstars, arenas and championships in the game simultaneously. It also allows the player to edit the ratings and attributes of the Superstars.

The next pack is Enduring Icons, which makes Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Beth Phoenix and Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson of the Rock 'n' Roll Express available as playable characters.

Since The Hardy Boyz and Rock 'n' Roll Express are two of the greatest tag teams of all time and Phoenix is one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time, the pack is a huge addition to the game.

The next pack is highly advantageous for those who play MyCareer mode, as the MyPlayer Kick Start makes navigating MyCareer much easier.

Those who buy the MyPlayer Kick Start will be able to boost their created Superstar's ratings and attributes, and they will gain immediate access to attire that provides attribute boosts.

The New Moves pack will enhance certain Superstars already in the game, while making it possible to add a wider array of maneuvers to the move sets of created Superstars.

WWE.com lists Tye Dillinger's Tye Breaker, Kassius Ohno's Crash Landing, Akam's Pumphandle Death Valley Driver and Diamond Dallas Page's Swinging Sleeper Slam as some of the moves that will be included.

Finally, the NXT Generation pack features five current or former NXT Superstars in Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, Elias, Lars Sullivan and Ruby Riot.

While McIntyre has been in WWE video games before, Black, Elias, Sullivan and Riot are all making their debuts.

With McIntyre holding the NXT Championship, Black moving toward the NXT main event scene, Riot making waves in the NXT women's division, Sullivan dominating NXT competition and Elias gaining traction on the main roster, the NXT Generation pack adds several key Superstars to what is already one of the greatest rosters ever in a WWE video game.

Creation Suite

Customization is perhaps the best way to get the most out of any video game, and that is especially true when it comes to WWE 2K18.

As seen in the following video, WWE 2K18 made several improvements with regard to creating wrestlers and making them as lifelike as possible:

There are now more choices in terms of faces, hair and teeth; plus, it is now easier to decide on an ideal body type for the Superstar you're creating.

Also, with Naomi's "glow" entrance in the game, a cool, new feature has been added in the form of Superstars being able to don glow-in-the-dark gear.

That serves as a way to add even more entertainment value to an entrance, while also ensuring that your Superstar is unique.

Along with creating a Superstar, players can now create their own custom match types in addition to what is already in the game.

While WWE 2K18 does a good job of giving gamers tons of match options to begin with, the ability to tweak rules and settings adds another layer to the in-ring aspect of the game.

Those who prefer to just utilize whatever is on the disc should get plenty of enjoyment out of WWE 2K18, but those who live for customization will be even more thrilled with the game.
