Top NFL Defensive Performances from Week 3

A trio of defensive players stood out during Week 3 of the 2017 NFL season. 

The Houston Texans came up short in their upset bid versus the New England Patriots, but Houston defensive end Jadeveon Clowney notched a pair of sacks against Tom Brady and finished with six tackles on the day. The former No. 1 overall pick also scored a touchdown on a 22-yard fumble return during the second quarter.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Demarcus Lawrence made his impact felt against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. The 25-year-old registered six QB hits and three sacks in the winning effort. 

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Rashaan Melvin intercepted Cleveland Browns rookie DeShone Kizer twice, which helped the Colts defeat the Browns, 31-28, for their first victory of the 2017 campaign.
