Allsports Commentary: Luck is all bad for Leafs Van Ryn
Allsports feels sorry for Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman NHL%20Career%20Threatened" target="_blank">Mike Van Ryn. If you have not been following sports on the web or sports news you won’t know that Van Ryn requires season ending osteotomy surgery on his left knee. Former Detroit star Steve Yzerman underwent the same procedure in 2003.
During his stay in Toronto his luck has been nothing but bad. He has been injured more than he has played. It is too bad because when he was in the lineup he was one of the better players for coach Ron Wilson. Allsports thinks that Van Ryn’s troubles in Toronto began with a cheap hit from Tom Kostopoulos which I wrote about way back on November 9th 2008, titled “Allsports says “Leafs most complete game yet”
