Players around the NFL performed gestures of solidarity before games that kicked off at 1 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon.
One individual not employed by a franchise showed his support for the movement in his own way.
Per The Lions Wire, recording artist Rico Lavelle performed the national anthem ahead of Sunday's showdown between the 2-0 Atlanta Falcons and 2-0 Detroit Lions at Ford Field.

Players from both sides locked arms during the anthem, and Lavelle dropped to one knee and raised his left hand into the air as he sang the word "brave." He then lifted his right fist after finishing the song.
