Zac WassinkSep 24, 2017

Players around the NFL performed gestures of solidarity before games that kicked off at 1 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon.

One individual not employed by a franchise showed his support for the movement in his own way.

Per The Lions Wire, recording artist Rico Lavelle performed the national anthem ahead of Sunday's showdown between the 2-0 Atlanta Falcons and 2-0 Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
