Tom Brady Throws 3 TDs in First Quarter for First Time in Career

When it comes to new achievements, Tom Brady does not usually have much to contribute. That's because he's done just about everything.

But he came up with something new in Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints when he threw three touchdown passes in the opening quarter.

Brady had never thrown more than two in the opening quarter of any game, but he found the New Orleans pass defense an inviting target.

Brady threw his scoring passes to Rex Burkhead, Rob Gronkowski and Chris Hogan.

It was the kind of start that Brady wanted to see, considering he did not throw a single TD pass in the Patriots' Week 1 loss to Kansas City. 

New England rolled to a 36-20 victory at New Orleans and evened its record at 1-1. The Saints are 0-2.
