Washington QB Kirk Cousins Discusses Moving On from Week 1 Loss

Zac WassinkSep 12, 2017

This past Sunday, the Washington Redskins dropped their regular-season opener to the Philadelphia Eagles, 30-17, at FedExField.

Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins is ready to put the loss behind him and move on to a Week 2 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.

The signal-caller spoke about his team's loss to its NFC East rivals during a local radio segment with hosts Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier on Monday, via Chris Lingebach of CBS DC.

"This is the NFL. Welcome to playing in the NFC East," Cousins stated. "It’s gonna be like this, so we have to expect it, embrace it and understand that it’s a part of playing in this league, and this league’s gonna test you. And if it was easy, then it wouldn’t be the NFL."

The Eagles sacked Cousins four times Sunday. He also threw one interception and lost two fumbles in the losing effort.
