The UFC's Eddie Alvarez is showing major support for a fellow athlete in his time of need.

The fighter paid a visit to injured soccer player Aaron Elliott at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania as he fights his way back to health after being struck by a vehicle late last month.

Elliott, from Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, is a well-known and respected athlete in the Philadelphia Gaelic Athletic Association and has amassed a mountain of medical bills since the incident. As he is uninsured, it has become a burden on Elliott and his family.

When Alvarez was alerted to Elliott's condition, he immediately began making plans to visit him.
