Childhood Cancer Survivors Design New Uniforms for Oregon Football
The Oregon Ducks will be sporting extra special uniforms going into Saturday's Week 2 home game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
The Ducks partnered with Nike and childhood cancer survivors to create new uniforms honoring the #StompOutCancer initiative.
Ten-year-old Sophia, 13-year-old Ethan and 14-year-old Joe teamed up with Nike designers to fashion the team's uniforms, which feature the word "overcome" on the glove knuckles and a duck about to step on the word "cancer" on the sleeve. The cleats have a camouflage design and say "Win the Day" and "Win the Fight" on the back.
#StompOutCancer items are available for fan purchase, and proceeds go to benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
