Michael A. Taylor Hits Inside-the-Park Grand Slam vs. Phillies
Rivea RuffSep 8, 2017
Michael A. Taylor hit an inside-the-park grand slam as the Nationals faced off against the Phillies on Friday.
In the bottom of the third inning, Taylor hit a line drive to center field, and Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera miscalculated the ball's trajectory. The ball flew just over Herrera's outstretched glove, causing him to jog to retrieve it.
While Philadelphia scrambled to recover the ball and toss it back toward home, the bases cleared. Taylor was credited with his 15th home run of the season.
