Rob Gronkowski Says He's 'Leaner and Meaner' and Ready for the 2017 Season

Rivea RuffSep 6, 2017

Rob Gronkowski has bounced back and is ready to take on the upcoming NFL season.

Gronkowski had to do extensive therapy and work to get back into game-ready form. The New England Patriots tight end sat out the last two months of the 2016 season after undergoing back surgery for a herniated disk.

Now, he says the work has paid off and he's ready to hit the field. In a press conference held after practice Tuesday, Gronkowski said he is "leaner and meaner" and prepared for Thursday night's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
