UFC Heavyweight Derrick Lewis Assists Hurricane Harvey Flood Victims in Houston

It is a time for heroes throughout the great state of Texas, and UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis has stepped up during this trying time.

Lewis, who fights out of Houston, tweeted on Monday afternoon to show his efforts.

Lewis' first tweet showed two young children being carried through the flood toward his truck. Lewis tweeted, "It feels good to help people."

The second tweet showed that the kids were in good health and in good hands as they got warm in the backseat.

Lewis is a fun follow on social media, but Monday's tweets show where his heart truly lies. Lewis is one of many local heroes doing what he can to help the people affected by Hurricane Harvey.
