Ohio State Wide Receiver Johnnie Dixon III Tells Mom He's Been Named Starter

David McCrackenAug 27, 2017

It's been a long road back for Ohio State Buckeyes wideout Johnnie Dixon III over the past couple of years, dealing with chronic knee pain in both legs.

But he's finally back to full health and capable of showing off his ability on the football field as a game-changing talent.

And on Sunday, he and Buckeyes receivers coach Zach Smith called Dixon's mother in the locker room to tell her that he will be starting a college football game for the first time in his career, and she was overcome with emotion.
