Two Chicago Bars Plan NFL Boycott in Support of Colin Kaepernick
Zac WassinkJun 9, 2018
Earlier this week, supporters of free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick held a rally outside the NFL's headquarters in New York City.
Two Chicago bars are backing Kaepernick in a different way.
The Bureau Bar and Velvet Lounge, both located near Soldier Field, took to Instagram on Thursday to pledge support for Kaepernick and announce neither establishment will show any NFL games "until something changes." The posts didn't elaborate further, but presumably the boycott will continue until the 29-year-old signs with a team.
