Marqise Lee's X-Rays on Ankle Injury vs. Texans Reportedly Reveal Sprain
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday's 45-7 win over the Houston Texans at EverBank Field.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news, noting X-rays were negative for a break. However, Lee will undergo an MRI Monday.
This is another setback for Lee after he was carted off with a leg injury during a preseason practice and is particularly difficult because Allen Robinson is already out for the year after tearing his ACL. Lee also missed six games during the 2015 season and played in 13 contests as a rookie in 2014.

However, he was healthy throughout the 2016 campaign and turned in career highs with 63 receptions for 851 yards and three touchdowns. He has followed up his impressive showing with 56 catches for 702 yards and three scores in 2017.
While Lee is a promising playmaker for Jacksonville's offense, it still has other pass-catchers who can shoulder more of the load if he is forced to miss significant time. Keelan Cole, Jaydon Mickens and Dede Westbrook are all candidates to see more playing time.
Still, Lee's presence makes the Jaguars a more dangerous offense as they look to parlay their regular-season success into a Super Bowl run.
