13-Year-Old Little Leaguer Jayce Blalock Hits Home Run at Braves' SunTrust Park

Andrew GouldAug 22, 2017

Jayce Blalock already brandishes big league power.

The 13-year-old Little League World Series star from Georgia drew attention for belting a grand slam into the trees well beyond an outfield fence in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The blast came seconds after an ESPN commentator discussed a coach's claim that he could hit it that far.

Those dimensions proved an inadequate test of his power, so the Atlanta Braves invited him to SunTrust Park to take batting practice. He struck again, crushing a ball over the left-field wall, which is listed at 335 feet away from the plate.

While Statcast hasn't released any data, Blalock's blast easily cleared the fence. Apologies in advance to any pitchers who have to face him in high school.
