Little League World Series 2017: Tuesday Schedule, TV Info, Bracket Predictions

Four teams survived elimination games at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Monday, but there is no time for those winners to celebrate.

The teams from Reynosa, Mexico, and Maracaibo, Venezuela, survived on the international side of the bracket and they will meet Tuesday at Lamade Stadium at 3 p.m. ET.

Jackson, New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic representative, and Fairfield, Connecticut, the New England regional winner, were both victorious and will meet at Volunteer Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

Both games will be televised by ESPN.

Reynosa got the best of Seoul, South Korea, the Asia-Pacific representative by a 1-0 margin. Jorge Garcia pitched four shutout innings for Mexico before he gave way to Andre Garza, who pitched the last two innings. Garza ended the game by striking out South Korea's Kyum Ahn.

Maracaibo, the Latin American representative, recorded a dramatic 3-2 victory over Caribbean representative Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Maracaibo was trailing 2-1, but Omar Romero brought in the tying and winning runs with a triple in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Jorge Daboin pitched the last three innings for Maracaibo, picking up the win. Daboin gave up just one hit and no runs.

In Jackson's 12-9 victory over West representative Rancho Santa Margarita, California, R.J. Vashey had three hits and drove in three runs. Charlie Meglio and Garrett Drew each had two hits for the victorious Mid-Atlantic representative.

Drew Rutter had three RBI for Rancho Santa Margarita.

Fairfield trailed by three runs when it came to bat in the bottom of the fourth, but the New England rallied for eight runs to take control of the game.

Fairfield never stopped attacking after that and rolled to a 14-6 victory over Northwest representative Walla Walla, Washington. Michael Iannozzo had three hits, including a home run, and also drove in three runs for the victors. Teammate Christian Smith also drove in three runs.

Predictions

Fairfield has proved to be a resilient team, and if it falls behind early, the team is not going to give in. New Jersey has a slew of big bats and it will try to jump out to a lead and build on it.

These two teams met earlier in the tournament, and Fairfield escaped with a 7-6 victory. Ethan Righter, Matthew Vivona and Tyler Bauer each had three hits for the winners.

New Jersey will have to control that trio if it wants to remain in contention for the Little League championship.

Fairfield should be confident after its comeback win over Walla Walla, and it knows it can beat New Jersey. Fairfield will win a tight game.

Look for Venezuela to ride the momentum of its come-from-behind win and oust Mexico on the international side.
