Oregon halted a recent football practice to watch a video message from Kaulana Apelu's mother. With the entire team looking on, she informed her son that he had received a full scholarship.

According to the Oregonian's Tyson Alger, Apelu tore both ACLs in high school. As a walk-on linebacker for the Ducks, he compiled 29 tackles and an interception last season.

Upon his mother's announcement, his teammates rushed over to celebrate the special moment. Per GoDucks.com's Rob Moseley, Apelu then returned to practice and made a tackle in an Oklahoma drill.

"If you have a goal, just set your eyes to that and just never give up," Apelu said. "Thank you, Mom, for everything you've done. Everything is for you, and I love you, Mom."
