Rivea RuffAug 18, 2017

Nelson Cruz proved why he has the nickname "Boomstick" once again on Friday night when Seattle faced Tampa Bay.

As the Mariners outfielder hit his 30th homer of the season, he also made history for the team while he was at it. He hit the Mariners' third-longest home run ever tracked, according to Statcast (via MLB.com's David Adler). It was also his third-longest homer ever tracked.

The ball had an exit velocity of 116 mph and soared into the upper deck at the Rays' Tropicana Field, traveling a total of 482 feet.
